The Temple Independent School District Transportation Department is rolling out another digital tool to help increase safety and communication for bus riders across the district. TC construction starts in spring

Temple College will hold a ground-breaking ceremony in early April and construction will begin in May on a massive $160 million project that will add four major buildings to the local campus.

Academy hires new football coach

Academy Independent School District has announced Mark Mullins as the next Head Football Coach of the Bumblebees. Mullins has 25 years of coaching experience and served as Academy’s Offensive Coordinator this past season. Mullins was the Assistant Head Football Coach at Gatesville High School, where they were Bi-District Finalists (2020, 2021).
Black ties and movie music

The Temple High School choir department will present its two show choirs — The Polyfoniks and Encore — in the production of Broadway Nights, a show that features musical numbers from plays and movies such as Waitress, The Greatest Showman, A Chorus Line, Oklahoma and Little Shop of Horrors, to name a few.
Temple CTE to host Career Day

Temple Independent School District eighth graders will get a first-hand look at some of the options available to them as they prepare for high school with Temple High School hosting career days this week. Eighth graders from all three of the district’s middle schools will tour the Career and Technical Education Center at THS during the event.
THE ART OF ROCK

A Temple man with deep rock ’n’ roll roots has created concert posters for hundreds of bands, including Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Judas Priest, Metallica, Willie Nelson, David Bowie and The Cure, and he will be the featured artist at a new Temple College Visual Arts Gallery exhibit.

The Temple High School BBQ Pitmasters Team has only been in existence since the start of the school year, but the team is already off to a blazing start after competing in its first event last weekend. They head to state in May.
