The Central Texas Film Society has announced its monthly lineup for 2023, and the list is full of classic films. According to Jeff Swindoll, a Central Texas Film Society board member, all of the showings are free (so is the popcorn) and will be on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. at the Cultural Activities Center.

2023 TEXAS MUSIC SERIES LINEUP

You might want to get that 2023 calendar a bit early — some big concerts are coming to the Cultural Activities Center. The CAC’s 2023 Texas Music Series will feature eight popular bands, including Texas legend Radney Foster (above), crowd favorite Shinyribs and Marc Cohn, who hit it big in 1991 with Walking in Memphis.

According to the Temple-based Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association, there are 175 Christmas tree farms in Texas producing some 200,000 trees annually on about 2,500 acres statewide.
